I make beautifully unique wheel-thrown Raku and stoneware pots and lamp-bases in my studio in Bath. I love using recycled materials in my work, particularly sea-glass and horsehair. Raku is an ancient firing technique involving fire, smoke and water. Each piece is beautifully unique as the fire affects the glaze in different ways and produces the most amazing colours, metallic flushes, and crackle. My horsehair raku pots and lamp-bases are eye-catching with their random beauty and timelessness. I also make bold stoneware bowls and pots, and use sea-glass and recycled glass in the bottoms, making each one beautiful and unique.
