About Bath Christmas Market

Bath Christmas Market returns from
Thursday 27th November to Sunday 14th December.
Journey through the cobbled streets and take in the sights and smells of Christmas and discover a truly enchanting experience in one of the UK’s most beautiful cities.

  • Our History

Founded in 2001, Bath Christmas Market started as a collection of local businesses and artisans who all came together to welcome in the festive period. Since then, it has evolved to be one of the UK’s most beloved festive events. Set in the heart of Bath City Centre, spanning from Abbeygate Street in the south to Milsom Street in the North, we now showcase over 250 traders from the South West and beyond.

Today, Bath Christmas Market is run by Bath & North East Somerset Council and is dedicated to improving the festive experience for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

  • Our Ethos

We are proud to deliver a world-class festive experience rooted in creativity, community, and sustainability. At Bath & North East Somerset Council, our primary goal is to create an event that benefits the local residents and businesses, and the event is supported from colleagues across multiple departments to achieve this. We are proud to champion talented makers and producers from Bath and beyond, offering a platform for local craftsmanship to shine, as well as positively contribute to the local economy.

We are also dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and have ambitions to be leaders in event sustainability. Find out more about our sustainability initiatives.

  • Our Stallholders

We are proud to feature over 250 independent stallholders and caterers over the festive period. Staying true to our roots as a platform for local artisan businesses, a majority of Bath Christmas Market’s traders hail from the South West, showcasing some of the best artisan makers in the area. Come back soon to find out who will be joining us in 2025.
