Event accessibility
Bath Christmas Market is an event for everyone, regardless of access requirements. Bath is a historic city, and whilst there are cobbles located at some parts of the market (Abbey Green), we have strived to make this as accessible to all as possible. All our event and security staff are trained to offer assistance to anyone that requires it, and if you would like to discuss specific access arrangements and support ahead of your visit, please get in touch.
Toilets
We have accessible event toilets located at Terrace Walk, Bilbury Lane and Royal Avenue (coach drop-off/pick-up) that are open throughout the duration of the event. Further public toilets, including accessible toilets and changing places toilets, are located throughout the city.

The nearest Changing Places can be found at Bath Leisure Centre, North Parade Rd, Bath, BA2 4ET or Southgate Vaults, 12 Southgate Street, BA1 1AQ.
PLEASE NOTE: The opening hours of public toilets in Bath differ to our official event toilets. Please check the the Changing Places website for opening hours.
Parking
Blue Badge holder parking is located throughout the city centre. At the request of Avon and Somerset Police, some road closures will be in effect during the event which may affect Blue Badge Holder spaces on Cheap Street, Westgate Street and Upper Borough Walls. We will be releasing more information on road closures and Blue Badge parking in the coming months.
Quiet Shopping
Mid-week is generally a more relaxed time to visit the market, as the weekends can get quite busy. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am and 12pm, we are operating a quiet shopping time. During these hours, our team is not scheduling any large-scale entertainment so that those with sensory sensitivities can enjoy a quieter shopping experience.
Quiet Areas
During the weekends, the market can be quite busy and we understand that for some people, this can be overstimulating. If you feel overwhelmed during your visit and would like somewhere quite to rest, Bath Central Library is opening its doors to our visitors should you need somewhere to decompress. They have free Wi-Fi and computers, and a children's area too.
