Bath Christmas Market is complemented by a full programme of entertainment including carol singers, children’s entertainers and musicians that all add to the fantastic festive ambience.
Bath Abbey provides a stunning backdrop to the market and hosts a full programme of Christmas services, including their special one-of-a-kind ‘shoppers’ services’. The sound of carols echoing around the Abbey and drifting through the Christmas Market creates a wonderfully celebratory atmosphere.
Highlights from 2014
We welcomed E3 Theatre Company to sing Christmas carols around the market. They are a group of Musical Theatre students studying at the Wessex Academy of Performing Arts. Donations from festive shoppers help fund their transport, set, costume, props and marketing campaign for their upcoming shows and productions. Nia Hawyes from E3 says ‘we had a brilliant time at the market. Thank you for your support, and on behalf of the company… HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!’
The Norland College Choir is made up of 28 first and second year students who are studying Early Years Development and Learning. The choir was formed in 2009 and is led by Grenville Jones. They loved singing at the opening night of the Bath Christmas Market.
The Natural Theatre Company looked fantastic dressed as fabulous fairies and festive elves. They went around the Bath Christmas Market surprising shoppers with sprinkles of fairy dust and lots of Christmas cheer.
If you’d like to get involved this year we’d love to hear from you.
