The Bath
Christmas Market is organised by Bath Tourism Plus - the
destination marketing organisation for the city of Bath and
the surrounding area.
Bath Tourism Plus handles stall holder recruitment,
provides the stalls, masterminds a comprehensive PR
programme, organises the music programme and is responsible for the management of the actual market,
providing on-site surveillance and instant help to
stallholders who need it.
Bath Tourism Plus was set up in October 2003, taking over
the management of tourism promotion from Bath and North East
Somerset Council. It is a young, vibrant company
rejuvenating not only the image but the reality of Bath and
beyond as a leisure and business travel destination. The
business travel and conference marketing section of the
company trades as Bath Conference Plus.
Bath Tourism Plus is successful because it has established –
and is still expanding - a ground-breaking partnership
between the public and private sectors in the area of
tourism. Its members and contributors include hotels, tour
operators, shops, museums, tour organisers and conference
venues. The company can therefore offer a total service to
anyone considering Bath as a destination for a tour, a
conference, or a holiday.
